Murder of Süleyman Taşköprü Süleyman Taşköprü 2001-06-27
Mordanschläge
53.5624768 9.9286881 Schützenstraße 39, 22761 Hamburg 27.06.2001 Mair, Brigit (2021): Süleyman Taşköprü. In: Zimmermann/ Klaus (Hg.): Vom Lernen und Verlernen Methodenhandbuch zur rassismuskritischen Aufarbeitung des NSU

On 27 June 2001, Süleyman Taşköprü and his father were working in their shop. The father stepped out briefly to buy olives. When he returned, he found his son covered in blood. Süleyman was still conscious but could no longer speak. It was not until ten years later that it became known that neo-Nazis from the NSU had shot the father of the family. The police did not follow up on the description of two "German"-looking men whom the victim's father had noticed near the shop shortly before the crime. On the contrary: the victim himself was massively criminalized. For ten years, the police investigation was directed against the murdered man and his social circle. As a result, more and more people distanced themselves from the victim's family.
