In May 2001, the three moved into the Polenzstraße in Zwickau, where they lived until 2008. The apartment was rented by their friend Matthias D. According to neighbors, Mundlos and Böhnhardt were not often seen, but Zschäpe presented herself as a friendly, open, and helpful neighbor.
