The fanzine "Der Landser," initially published by the "Skinheads Nürnberg" and later by the "Nationalisten Nürnberg," was a neo-Nazi print magazine in DIN A5 format. Eight issues appeared between 1998 and 2001. A P.O. box belonging to the "IG WIR'" in "90020 Nürnberg" was given as the contact address. Issue No. 6 was sold for "5 Reichsmark" and was legally responsible under Matthias Fischer, with Martin-Richter-Straße 34 in Nuremberg as the contact address. Of particular interest are the possible connections between the Franconian neo-Nazi activists around "Landser" and the NSU. The name of the neo-Nazi activist Matthias Fischer, who lived in Franconia at the time, appeared together with his phone number on a contact list found in January 1998 in a garage in Jena rented by Beate Zschäpe. One issue of Landser carried an advertisement for issue No. 13 of the fanzine "Der weiße Wolf." In issue 18 of "Der Weiße Wolf," published in 2002, thanks were given to the NSU. Another connection between the "Landser" milieu and the NSU: the neo-Nazi Mandy S., originally from Saxony, who lived in Middle Franconia from 2002 to 2003, had arranged a hideout for the NSU trio after they went underground in January 1998. Together with another neo-Nazi, she wrote an article in issue No. 8 of "Landser."
