The busy street is lined with many small shops and restaurants, most of them run by people with a migration history. The explosion left 22 people injured, some seriously. Residents quickly assumed it was a racially motivated terrorist attack by neo-Nazis. The investigating authorities, however, suspected perpetrators from the milieu of "organized crime" and investigated those affected by the attack.
