On 7 December 2006 and 18 January 2007, Mundlos and Böhnhardt allegedly raided a Sparkasse branch at Kleine Parower Straße 51-53 in the center of Stralsund. On both occasions they fired a blank-firing pistol toward the ceiling and then threatened the staff and customers present with a handgun. Together, the two stole nearly €255,000 in Stralsund. Notably, the location of these robberies lies hundreds of kilometers away from the sites of the other robberies. Whether there were local informants remains an open question to this day.
