In 2005, the far-right "Fest der Völker" ("Festival of Nations") took place for the first time at the Seidel parking lot on Stadtrodaer Straße, attended by well-known speakers and bands from Germany and several European countries. Among the organizers were Ralf Wohlleben and Andre K., with structures of Blood & Honour and the Hammerskins involved. Broad civil society protest formed in Jena against these events, which contributed to a ban being enforced in 2006. In 2007, the "Fest" took place again in Jena. In 2008 the organizers moved to Altenburg, and in 2009 to Pößneck in Thuringia.
